Equity and diversity have become important areas of professional development recently for those of us in education. Much of the work is focused on what individuals can do in their classrooms. For activities coordinators, equity and diversity are important factors to consider and we must also strive for inclusion and representation when considering school culture and planning school activities. We need to ensure that our school culture and school activities are inclusive and representative of all of the students we serve by casting a critical lens on our own practices and learning from one another about how to improve what we're doing.
