What happens when 3 leadership teachers spend 12 hours in a car together? They come up with a way to breathe new life and a sense of community into Winter Wishes. See how one high school took their Winter Wishes program to the next level. "Give Before You Get" gave students at Washington HS an opportunity to give back to their community before the annual Winter Wishes Assembly. Before the day was over, students had created blankets; collected toiletries and socks for the homeless; collected and wrapped toys for foster kids; and wrote thank you cards to active duty service members, first responders, and bus drivers. See what worked (and what didn’t) and share ideas on how to make it even better next year. There will also be candy!!!
