Calling All Advisers! A Fresh Look at Leadership Curriculum
AWSL is proud to announce the recently re-published and re-vamped popular leadership publications: Building Leaders for Life: A High School Leadership Class Curriculum and Starting in the Middle: Leadership Lessons for Middle Level Students. Inspiring Students to Lead is the elementary curriculum manual that features assembly-type leadership workshops that high school  and middle level leaders can deliver to the younger students.  Explore these publications and how they can be incorporated into your leadership programs and schools. This workshop is appropriate for both veteran and rookie advisers as everyone will benefit from discussions centered on leadership philosophy, best practices and equity and opportunity.

Schools across the country are being recognized for their intentional work to build a community and culture that cares. From a Washington State ASCD Whole Child Award winner to local news features - CharacterStrong schools have seen huge culture shift and positive increases in their Attendance, Behavior, and Coursework data. How do we replicate this success? From their experience in-peron in over 800 schools, John Norlin and Houston Kraft will share the high-leverage tools, strategies, and activities that have helped build more empathy, engagement, and compassion in classrooms and on campuses. In this resource-PACKED session, learn how you can get students AND staff to focus on relationships, systematically build character and SEL skills, and develop your own award-winning culture.
